Overview
A faculty member in the College of Pharmacy (COP) has responsibilities in three areas: teaching; research and scholarship; and service. For this position, the faculty member is expected to provide high-quality instruction and training for PharmD students. Productivity in research and scholarship is expected. Service to the department (e.g., participation in exam production, execution and evaluation),College (e.g., standing committees), University, and professional community (e.g., pharmacy, science disciplines) is expected. The work requires flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. The faculty member must support the mission and vision of the College and be motivated toward the development of students as pharmacists and leaders in the profession. This will occur through instruction in ‘PharmAd' and other relevant courses primarily in biostatistics, research methods, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, and some assistance with law and ethics being preferable. Additionally, the faculty member will mentor students in research and scholarship by engaging them in meaningful projects that will broaden their networks and networking skills, as wells as produce deliverables that will help them advance their careers.

  • Teach Touro University California PharmD students during their P1 and P2 Years and participate as appropriate in teaching as part of integrated systems and patient care course labs.
  • Provide reports and other documents as requested by a
  • Maintain an active program of scholarship related to one's area of expertise.
  • Present and publish the outcomes of scholarly work at professional meetings and appropriate peer-reviewed journals.
  • Serve on committees and actively contribute to the development of the department, College, University, and
  • Attend and participate in faculty, department, College, and University meetings as appropriate and undertake other faculty duties as assi
  • Work collegially with other faculty in the recruitment and development of pharmacy students.
  • Engage in faculty development activities.




Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree(e.g., PharmD, MD, DO, PhD) or equivalent expertise in a relevant area, with preference toward a PhD in an appropriate field
  • Experience teaching at the professional student level is
