GS-0660-13 – Supervisory Pharmacist (Oncology/Hematology-Satellite)
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center (CC) Pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Supervisor with sterile compounding experience and expertise in the care of oncology and hematology patients. The NIH CC Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical care to inpatients and outpatients on NIH intramural research protocols and the department strives to exceed the expectations of patients, investigators and staff in an environment that provides meaningful work, challenge, and professional growth.

The successful candidate for this position will be an exceptionally talented Pharmacist with knowledge of investigational drug services and experience managing a team of clinical pharmacists. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are preferred, and the candidate should be able to 
problem- solve operational and patient care issues efficiently and independently. The Pharmacy Supervisor will serve as a subject matter expert and be expected to provide consultative advice on the medication aspects of research protocols. A Doctor of Pharmacy degree recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and a Pharmacist License are required. Board certification in Oncology is preferred.

The Pharmacy Department offers state-of-the-art services in an ultra-modern facility. The NIH Clinical Research Center is located on a 300-acre college-like campus and is the hospital where the intramural research of the NIH’s 27 Institutes and Centers is conducted.

Applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, territory of the U.S., the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, or meet the minimum educational requirements as described in the vacancy announcement on USAJOBS.
