Western University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a faculty position in Pharmacy Practice. We seek an outstanding individual who is committed to academic excellence, will participate in an innovative educational curriculum, establish a community pharmacy practice for experiential training and patient care, perform scholarly activities based on clinical and/or educational endeavors, serve on College/University/Professional committees, and contribute to the University’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The position is for an Assistant/Associate Professor level faculty (tenure or non-tenure track) of pharmacy practice in the area of Community Pharmacy.

WesternU College of Pharmacy is an AACP- ACT (Academia - Community Transformation) Community Pharmacy Center of Excellence, being one of only 17/143 schools in the US and the only one in the state of California to receive this recognition for our significant commitment to Community Pharmacy advancement in teaching, service, scholarship, leadership and partnerships.

Applicants should have a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy; postgraduate training and clinical experience in Community Pharmacy with some didactic and experiential teaching are preferred. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in California and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, clinical skills and teaching skills.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration in the College of Pharmacy is made up of 28 full-time faculty members. The College of Pharmacy prides itself on its innovative curriculum that fosters student-centered learning, critical thinking and problem solving. Founded in 1996, the College offers PharmD, MS, and PhD degrees and post-doctoral residencies and fellowships. In addition to the College of Pharmacy, Western University of Health Sciences consists of nine Colleges, including Osteopathic Medicine, Health Sciences, Graduate Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Dental Medicine, Optometry, Podiatric Medicine, and Biomedical Sciences, and is one of the largest graduate schools for the health professions in California.
