Mercy Health- St. Vincent Medical Center (MHSVMC) is searching for a well-trained and highly motivated Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in solid organ transplant. Established in 1855, MHSVMC is the critical care regional referral and teaching center within the Bon Secours Mercy Health system, a 43-hospital faith-based system across seven states. The institution holds the highest designation for treating high risk mothers & babies, is a Level I Trauma Center for adults, Level II for children, is a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is an accredited Chest Pain Center. 

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in transplant will be primarily responsible for the development and implementation of pharmaceutical care in solid organ transplant recipients at MHSVMC.  Scope includes the pre-transplantation, perioperative, post-transplantation, and ambulatory settings.  Initially the program will focus on kidney transplantation, with plans to expand into liver and pancreas in the future.  This pharmacist will also serve as a preceptor for Doctor of Pharmacy Students, PGY-1, and PGY-2 Critical Care or Ambulatory Care residents.  Additional responsibilities include active participation in multidisciplinary hospital committees, policy or protocol development, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.

Required credentials of applicants: Doctor of Pharmacy degree, PGY-1 residency or equivalent experience, and Ohio pharmacist license eligibility. Completion of a PGY-2 residency, Board Certification, and clinical practice experience in transplant are strongly preferred.
