Job Summary

Provides leadership for all Pharmaceutical activities within the site. Embraces the goals/objectives encompassing Pharmaceutical activities for the Beaumont Health System. Promotes team efforts to manage and achieve departmental/corporate objectives. Ensures that all staff meet/exceed minimum competency standards and encourage/support staff to continue professional development. Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness throughout daily activities. Maintains knowledge of current Pharmaceutical practice and demonstrates a personal commitment to professional growth. Supports management by providing supervision, guidance, and support for all assigned areas. Participates in the planning, organization, and implementation of new programs and activities. Participates in strategies to increase market share, reduce cost, and improve patient satisfaction.

Essential Functions

* Demonstrates leadership skills and actively supports management in accomplishing the vision and mission of the pharmacy and the organization.
* Oversees daily pharmacy operations and makes appropriate adjustment in staffing as needed.
* Assists pharmacy department to review drug purchases and collaborate with management and staff to develop and implement drug cost management programs.
* Provides a pharmaceutical care program that ensures quality care through assessment and monitoring medication therapy.
* Works with pharmacy staff to identify and implement pharmacy continuous performance improvement processes.
* Actively participates in professional development activities for staff, self, and other medical professionals.
* Participates in committee meetings, system projects, community functions, and professional organizations to promote the image of the system.
* Performs all duties listed in the Clinical Pharmacist job description.

Qualifications

* Required Bachelor's Degree Pharm.D. or Bachelor degree in pharmacy.
* Preferred residency training
* 3 years of relevant experience Clinical Pharmacist Experience Required
* 1 year of relevant experience or Pharmacy Residency plus a minimum of 1 year hospital experience. Required
* LIC-Clinical Pharmacist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
* LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
