Description:
Plans, develops, educates, and coordinates clinical pharmacy services and clinical operations of the pharmacy department with regards to safe, rational, and cost-effective medication use. Supervises each organizational element involved with the provision of drug information. Ensures optimal patient outcomes with the most effective and efficient delivery of clinical services. Performs and demonstrates pharmacotherapy expertise, participates in problem recognition and resolution related to medication usage.
Position Requirements:
A: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Completion of all Georgia Licensure requirements and maintain a current Georgia Pharmacy License.
B. Education: A PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy. If applicant has a Bachelor of Science, 5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy is required.
C: Experience: Board Certification and/or Residency training is required.
D: Special Qualifications: Must display a high degree of initiative to provide clinical leadership and guidance for the pharmacy department. Must make sound, independent decisions based on clinical knowledge, local hospital policies/procedures, Trinity Health guidance, and State and Federal regulations. Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with all healthcare professionals and patients. Must adhere to activities that promote the vision and mission of St. Mary's Health Care System and Trinity Health.
