The school is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure, clinical/teaching track faculty position at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor with training and experience in the areas of Ambulatory Care and Population Health, with a specific area of focus in Population Health.

This faculty member will have two primary responsibilities: participation in collaborative systems-level population health medication management and quality improvement initiatives in partnership with University of Colorado Medicine (CU Medicine), and clinical pharmacy practice in a CU Medicine primary care clinic.  

As an ambulatory care pharmacist (40% time), this faculty member will provide clinical pharmacy services as a member of an interdisciplinary primary care team at the CU Medicine Depot Hill clinic. Clinical responsibilities include developing and providing direct patient care services for chronic disease management using collaborative drug therapy management protocols, interfacing with clinic providers to provide comprehensive medication management, and other population health initiatives to improve the quality of medication use.  Clinical services and provider support will be delivered 100% in-person for at least the first six months.

Responsibilities in Population Health (60% of time) include centralized population health outreach to address care gaps important to value-based programs, analyzing population data to identify value opportunities related to cost or quality, assisting the Director of Population Health Pharmacy with design, evaluation, and streamlining of existing decentralized population health efforts by the CU Primary Care Pharmacist Team, and developing new quality improvement interventions directed at healthcare priorities established by OVBP and primary care leadership.  This work may be performed via a hybrid model with a mix of in-office and remote work.

Opportunities for engaging in scholarship in support of clinical and teaching efforts are available. 

Applicants must have a PharmD degree; have completed PGY2 residency training in ambulatory care, internal medicine, pharmacotherapy, or a similar program; and must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in Colorado.  Previous academic experience and board certification (BCPS or BCACP) are preferred.  Faculty salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
