East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice in collaboration with the Quillen College of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine. This position is for a Psychiatric Pharmacy Specialist and is a clinical-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Essential Functions: The faculty member will primarily provide collaborative, interdisciplinary patient care in the ETSU Internal Medicine Clinics in Johnson City and Kingsport, TN in psychiatric disease state management and population health services. The faculty member will apply specialized knowledge of psychiatric pharmacotherapy to direct patient care, teaching, and consultation with the patient care team. The successful applicant will also teach in the didactic curriculum, precept students in the professional experiential program, mentor and precept PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents, contribute to the scholarly pursuits of the department, and participate in regional/national presentations. The faculty member will provide service to the College, the University, and broader professional community.
Qualifications: PharmD and a PGY2 ASHP-accredited Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience by summer 2024. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in clinical practice and have a strong desire for teaching and scholarship in an academic environment. Candidates must be eligible for a Tennessee Pharmacist license.
