Job Summary

Gather, analyze, design, develop, modify, test, implement, evaluate, and maintain clinical information technologies to support clinical practice. Use data to support clinical decision-making and identify desired outcomes. Able to research, analyze and make recommendations for application work flow improvements and create and analyze reports created using multiple reporting mechanisms. Primary work comes from oncology-focused approved requests or self-identified areas of improvement in EMR build with proper enterprise approval. Build must be completed according to enterprise standards when they exist. Build must be properly documented, tested and handed off to the supporting team performed.

Utilize high level of customer service while promoting and participating in the team approach. Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent time management and prioritization skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills and efficient use of Microsoft Office software. A positive attitude and superior customer service skills. Skill level needed to become proficient in Sanford assigned applications as well as a basic knowledge of other Sanford applications. A willingness to maintain active knowledge in area of specialty in order to maintain currency in clinical practice and end user perspectives.

Qualifications

In a retail/community pharmacy setting: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations.

In a medical center or institutional setting: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations. Hospital experience or residency preferred.

License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.

Education required: Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy. PharmD or Pharmacy Practice Residency.

Experience required: PGY-2 Oncology Residency or equivalent practice experience within an oncology setting. User experience with Epic-Beacon.

Experience preferred: Investigational drug service experience.

License/Certification: Current license to practice pharmacy within the Sanford footprint. Willow Inpatient or Ambulatory certification and Beacon certification must be obtained within six months and within three attempts of certification testing. Certification involves multiple training days divided into separate sessions plus completing a project and test.
