URI offers its nearly 18,000 students distinctive educational opportunities designed to meet the global challenges of today’s world and the rapidly evolving needs of tomorrow. In FY22, URI received over $126.8 million in research funding – up from $89.8 million in FY19. The University received a record number of first-year applications for fall 2022 admission. URI has also made significant investments in its facilities with $975 million invested in capital projects and improvement since 2007.

The University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy was founded in 1902 and offers a six-year Doctor of Pharmacy degree and bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Interdisciplinary Neuroscience. The College is consistently ranked in the top 10 percent of US schools of pharmacy in federal research funding, pharmacy board passage rate, postdoctoral placement rate, and graduating student employment and program satisfaction.

The Dean will be taking over a highly respected college noted for its strong and positive internal culture, the success of its graduates, its talented faculty and staff, and its dedication to improving the quality of life for people in local, national, and global communities. Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will pursue opportunities to grow academic programs, research, interprofessional activities, and service. The Dean will be a strong steward of resources and creatively seek new funding opportunities. The Dean will be a visible leader who prioritizes a welcoming and inclusive community that values equity and diversity.
