Clinical Pharmacist ICU Evenings

As the tertiary care center for Steward Health Care of Massachusetts, our 38 bed intensive care units provides an opportunity to care for a variety of high acuity patients. Our dedicated intensive care unit (ICU) clinical pharmacist is responsible for the all aspects of the medication use system for our most critically ill patients. This includes surgical, medical, cardiac and cardiothoracic patients. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, rounding with various services, emergency response (i.e. code blue, code stroke, trauma),  provider and patient education. The clinical ICU evening pharmacist is encouraged to identify and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives. It is expected the ICU clinical pharmacist will participate in the in the training and education of healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, technicians, nurses, pharmacy residents and medical staff.
