Responsibilities

• The Pharmacist is responsible for the coordination of specialty pharmacy services in assigned area.
• Provides consultative/clinical services including antibiotic dosing of vancomycin and aminoglycosides, initial Coumadin dosing, renal dosing and IV-to-PO conversions.
• Responsible for providing distributive services.
• Responsible for adhering to and practicing within the guidelines of Georgia State Pharmacy Law.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education

• B.S. from an accredited School of Pharmacy

Required Minimum Licensure

• Licensed by, and in good standing with, the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy

Required Minimum Experience

• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Required Minimum Skills

• Demonstrated pharmacokinetic skills
• Strong order entry and computer skills
• Good oral communication skills
• 2 years clinical involvement or BCPS preferred
