Summary:
All pharmacists fill orders for drugs, monitor patient drug therapies and provide drug information. Pharmacists provide pharmacy services with compassion, excellence and efficiency. In addition, level III pharmacists participate in department leadership activities, management of patient pharmacotherapy, service line development and quality medication management within assigned service lines.
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos, which originated in 1923 as Hays County Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Memorial Hospital, opened at its current Wonder World Drive location in 1983. Our staff of more than 700 Associates works with more than 300 active and consulting physicians to provide quality services to patients and their families. For more than 20 consecutive years, we have been named The Best Hospital in Hays County in the annual "Best of Hays" publication released by the San Marcos Daily Record. In addition to interventional cardiac services, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos is a Certified Chest Pain Center and an accredited Primary Stroke Center. We lead the region in da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery and offers a variety of specialty care services including medical imaging, rehabilitation, hospice, women's services and more.
Requirements:
Required: Graduate of and ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree PLUS 1 of the following: BPS Board Certification, Residency, Fellowship plus 2 years clinical experience
Preferred: In addition to minimum, meets criteria for ASHP PGY-1 and or PGY-2 Residency Preceptor Status
Must accrue ASHP Residency Preceptor status within 180 days of hire (for Ministries with Residency programs)
Must have State licensure by start date
Employed with CHRISTUS as a Pharmacist II and meets all Pharmacist III criteria.
Pharmacy registration in the State of practice.

BLS or ACLS; PALS (pediatric practice)
