Faculty position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy

The University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12-month faculty position at the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor (CHS) in the Pharmacy Practice and Translational Research Division.

Applicants for this position must hold a PharmD or equivalent and be eligible for Wisconsin pharmacy licensure. Candidates must have completed a postgraduate year one pharmacy residency (PGY1) or equivalent clinical or academic experience. A postgraduate year two pharmacy residency (PGY2) or PhD training or fellowship is desirable. Record of researching leading to peer-reviewed publications and prior teaching, mentoring, or precepting experience is preferred.  All areas of practice and research expertise will be considered; however, preference will be given to individuals with expertise and/or research interests in behavioral or mental health, geriatrics, oncology, bioinformatics, or pharmacogenomics.  Appointment as Associate Professor (CHS) will require candidate's credentials to meet criteria for rank at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities include establishing an independent research program in their area of expertise and collaborations leading to a sustained program of publishable scholarly work;  teaching within the School's Doctor of Pharmacy program which includes classroom instruction in practice-related courses and teaching in the team-taught Integrated Pharmacotherapy Skills Laboratory courses which focus on pharmacy practice skill development and evaluation; and developing a clinical practice (4-8 hours per week) that is complementary to the individual's area of expertise and research/scholarship (clinical practice may be broadly defined). Additionally, the individual will serve as a member of school committees/working groups as required and/or requested.
