NGHS is currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist-Critical Care for our Pharmacy Team in Gainesville.

Full Time, Days-7:00am-5:30pm

Primary paractice area: Coronary Care Unit and CV Intensive Care Unit

Patient populations include LVAD and ECMO

Long standing PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program

Graduate Medical Residency programs and new Cardiovascular Medical Fellowship program

Job Summary: Establishes, coordinates and provides clinical pharmacy services within the hospital. Functions in the role of consultant and educator of drug therapy to health care workers. Employee performs clinical duties in accordance with population specific guidelines and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined in policy and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Licensure in Georgia
  • Educational Requirements: Pharm. D.
  • PGY-1 followed by PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency in Critical Care or Cardiology (preferred)
  • Board Certification in Cardiology or Critical Care (preferred)

Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Occasionally kneeling/stooping/bending
  • Occasionally pushing/pulling
  • Occasionally standing/walking
  • Frequent intensive work, requires reading, writing, reasoning, & talking
