Job Details
The Department of Pharmacy Practice seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty member within the Adult Medicine Division based on our Abilene campus. The faculty member's teaching responsibilities will include didactic, laboratory, case/simulation-based, and experiential teaching within the School of Pharmacy curriculum. The faculty member will provide adult acute care services up to 50% time, providing patient care and experiential teaching. The position is a calendar year (12-month) appointment and is school-funded. The faculty member will develop a practice site at Hendrick Medical Center, which is around the corner from campus. The private hospital has 400 beds and utilizes a decentralized practice model for the clinical pharmacy department. Tech and Hendrick have partnered for over 15 years to provide outstanding patient care and educational programs. The faculty member will also engage in scholarship and service.
The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with a PGY1 residency in Pharmacy Practice. advanced training, Board Certification, and teaching experience are strongly preferred. Licensure or eligibility to be licensed in the state of Texas is required. The professorial level will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
