The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacist – Specialty Pharmacy to join their team in Burlington, Vermont.

The Pharmacists of UVMMC Outpatient Pharmacies serve outpatient medication needs by compounding and dispensing medication according to prescription orders, screening for and addressing medication related problems, counseling patients and health care professionals on the proper use of medication, and maintaining good business practices to ensure success of company within the mission of UVMMC.

Education:

• Pharmacy Degree from ACPE accredited college of pharmacy (five-year B.S. or Pharm. D.),   Certifications: Licensed and registered to practice pharmacy in Vermont.

Experience:

• One year minimum retail pharmacy within past 5 years, one year minimum experience in a health system pharmacy.  Equivalent alternate pharmacy experience is acceptable.

**Conditional offers of employment in the Specialty Pharmacy department are contingent upon favorable completion of a thorough background check and post-offer, pre-employment drug screening. Candidates must submit to a drug screen from a vendor approved by the UVM Medical Center.  Specialty Pharmacy candidates who refuse to obtain a drug screen within the time frame requested may have their offer of employment rescinded.  If a Specialty Pharmacy candidate’s drug screen reveals a positive test result, dependent on the circumstances, his/her offer of employment may be rescinded.
