The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS) at Wayne State University (WSU) is seeking candidates for a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position based in ambulatory care pharmacy practice with an emphasis in primary care or oncology. The practice site is within the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. The position is part of the WSU Department of Pharmacy Practice, which has 32 faculty members and a comprehensive network of outstanding adjunct faculty. The department has affiliations with numerous area health systems and community pharmacy organizations in Southeastern Michigan, an area recognized nationally for progressive pharmacy practice. The department’s vision is to be a nationally recognized leader for integrating education and research within our diverse urban community and regional health care environments.  Its mission is to prepare highly qualified pharmacists, researchers and leaders for success to improve health.

Henry Ford Health System is a vertically integrated health system that includes 30 ambulatory medical centers and an employed medical group. The faculty member will join three other co-funded WSU faculty members at Henry Ford Hospital.

Responsibilities: Didactic and experiential education, participation in the expansion of ambulatory pharmacy services at the practice site, residency education, providing care in an active clinical practice, collaborative clinical research or other scholarly activity, and service to the department, college and community.

Requirements: Successful candidates must possess the doctor of pharmacy degree and have completed post-graduate ambulatory care pharmacy residency and/or fellowship training or possess equivalent experience. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan. An established record of teaching and scholarly accomplishments and board certification are desirable.
