The School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking outstanding applicants for a faculty position (Assistant or Associate professor rank) in Pediatric Pharmacy Practice within the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice. The School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences is one of the five schools/institute under the Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences.

A successful candidate will be expected to teach both student pharmacists and pharmacy residents at the didactic and experiential levels and will engage in scholarly activities. The candidate will also play an integral role as a clinician educator providing outpatient clinical services and developing educational programs at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). This position will report to the Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice.

Applicants must have a pharmacy degree and should have completed post-graduate training such as residency, fellowship, or another post-graduate training (eg. Masters, PhD).  Competitive applicants will have experience in relevant clinical service and teaching, demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, show promise for academic advancement within the UC system, and be eligible for California pharmacy licensure as applicable to the position. Board certification in pediatric pharmacy is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team are essential.
