VP, Pharmacy

Cincinnati, OH - WittKieffer has been retained by UC Health in Cincinnati, Ohio, to assist in the search for a VP, Pharmacy. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a seasoned pharmacy leader to strategize and build off a robust pharmacy business for a large and reputable academic health system. While the foundational components and strategic priorities are in place, there are opportunities for enhancement in a range of areas, including 340B optimization, continued centralization of the function, expanded community-based relationships to maximize the reach of UC Health's pharmacy services, ability to become a statewide leader in pain management stewardship, opportunities for more robust pharmacy research and the continued growth of the ambulatory pharmacy business.

Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, UC Health is the affiliated healthcare delivery system of the University of Cincinnati. The system comprises the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), West Chester Hospital, Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care and the University of Cincinnati Physicians Company. The VP, Pharmacy will be responsible for the overall functioning of pharmacy services and all related operational areas, including patient access, patient experience, community engagement, financial performance, employee engagement, and billing compliance. In addition, the VP will develop operational plans, budgets and tactics for improved performance and growth of assigned departments. 

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in senior health system pharmacy leadership roles within an academic medical center or complex health system, a deep appreciation for systemness including outpatient care settings, considerable experience managing large budgets and leading pharmacy teams, extensive knowledge of medication safety procedures, insight into trends within contemporary pharmacy service providers and a demonstrated expertise to direct the pharmaceutical supply chain.
