SEEKING: Clinical Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator

Design, Implement, and Manage Pharmacy Clinical Services for inpatient acute care pharmacy

LOCATION: SE on the coast

EMPLOYER: This highly reputable acute care hospital offers a variety of services which include gastroenterology, oncology, pediatrics, NICU, emergency care including pediatric ER, physical therapy and rehab, spine care, wound care, orthopedic care, joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular and interventional services. Heart care and women's health are top specialties.

Reports to: Director of Pharmacy who supports a progressive model of collaborative care between pharmacists, physicians, nursing, and P&T

COMPENSATION: $120,000-$165,000 - Plus Relocation Package

Clinical Pharmacy Manager ROLE:

Continue to grow the Clinical Pharmacy Services including Rounding and hiring additional Pharmacy Clinical Specialists. Develop policies and procedures, Educator to staff and other healthcare professionals, Pharmacy Clinical Interventions, Discharge Counseling. Serves as a resource. P&T Committee

  • 32 personnel in Pharmacy
  • There are 18 direct reports to the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator
  • Pharmacy is decentralized onto patient care units and there is a "95% hybrid cartless system." Infectious Disease Pharmacist, Pharmacy Clinical Specialists
  • Pharmacy inventory 800K
  • 6M Budget
  • There has been a remodel of the pharmacy as well as USP 797 compliant IV room, and satellite, and USP 800 design and renovation
  • Clinical software surveillance system for pharmacy department (Vigilanz)
  • Quality control software for IV room compliance (Simplifi 797)
  • Electronic management of TPNs and other bulk batching (Abacus)
  • IV Compounding surveillance system / improved safety (BD IV Prep-Beta Test Site)
  • Indigent/underinsured drug reimbursement program

SEEKING:

· PharmD, PGY-1 Residency

· PGY-2 Residency or Fellowship preferred

· Acute care hospital pharmacy leadership experience

· Any of following Board Certifications preferred: BCPS, BCCP, PCIDP, FCCP, FASHP

· Clinical Pharmacy Specialist experience
