Department Chair of Pharmacy Practice

The University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy invites individuals to apply for the Department Chair and Associate/Full Professor within the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The Chair is an administrative appointment with responsibilities that are in addition to those of a tenure-track faculty member in the given department. The Chair reports to the Dean and serves as one of the primary representatives of the School. The Chair has shared responsibility for developing and following the strategic plan that supports the mission, goals and objectives of the University and School. The Chair is responsible for working effectively and collegially with the other members of the leadership team and to represent their department. Successful candidates must have a doctoral degree from an accredited university, with disciplinary expertise relevant to pharmacy. A        minimum of ten years of pharmacy practice experience, academic experience at the rank of associate or full professor in an accredited pharmacy school, previous experience in leadership or management and participation in state or national pharmacy professional organizations are required.
