Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administration Internal Medicine

The Wegmans School of Pharmacy, St John Fisher College, Rochester, New York invites applications for a full-time, 12-month non-tenure track visiting faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration, with a focus on Internal Medicine.

The Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice will provide academic instruction to pharmacy students in the PharmD program, with a primary focus for the campus pathway. Faculty will also be expected to contribute to online pathway instruction. All faculty members are responsible for creating and delivering instruction in the pharmacy practice curriculum. Faculty will serve as a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist with a focus in Internal Medicine in an affiliated practice site located in Rochester, New York. The site will serve as an experiential training location for the IPPE/APPE rotation students. In addition, consistent with the student-centered philosophy of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, faculty members will be engaged in advising and service at the school, college and community levels. Participation in scholarship will be encouraged. Employment will be on a 3-year (12-month) non-tenure track faculty contract, renewable based on performance.

Qualified applicants will have completed a PharmD from an ACPE accredited pharmacy school with at least one year of post-graduate residency training in an ASHP- or APhA- accredited residency program with a preference for PGY-2 training or equivalent clinical experience. Previous academic experience is highly desirable especially in a professional program. Successful candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong desire to contribute to the growth and development of the school in an innovative, thoughtful, and enthusiastic manner.
