The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12-month Non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor. The position may be located on the Oxford, MS campus or the Jackson, MS campus. Academic responsibilities include teaching in an integrated and modularized PharmD curriculum, skills lab, and training of pharmacy students on practice experiences (IPPE and APPE) as well as precepting residents. In scholarship, the candidate will be expected to publish scholarly works in peer-reviewed journals, and teach and mentor students and residents in research experiences. The candidate will be required to develop or maintain a patient care practice. The exact emphasis on responsibilities is flexible and will be tailored to meet the individual professional goals of the candidate and as agreed upon by the candidate and department chair. Opportunities exist in Ambulatory Care, Internal Medicine, Community Practice or other focused areas of outpatient specialization. In service or citizenship, the candidate will be required to serve the department, the school, and University according to needs and interest. Participation and leadership in professional and scientific organizations is encouraged.

The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited School/College of Pharmacy with residency and or fellowship, be licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a pharmacist by the State of Mississippi. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teaching, service, and scholarship, and competence as a clinician. Board certification is encouraged.
