Also, you will have the opportunity to champion the change by joining in our mission of healing through humankindness.
Responsibilities
Join our Pharmacy Team at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital (Mesa/Laveen) Campus and be a part of the Arizona Dignity Health Network of Hospitals. We are the newest addition to the Dignity Health system in Arizona. As community-based hospitals, both AZGH Laveen and AZGH Mesa hospitals provide 24/7 medical services including emergency, intensive care, inpatient, and surgical to patients in the underserved communities. Apart from being located in underserved areas and being tailored to suit the local demographics, AZGH Laveen and AZGH Mesa Hospitals heavily focus on patient-centered care which offers convenience and speedy access to care that might not be as readily available in other medical institutions.
The Pharmacy Department at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital is a full-service 24/7 pharmacy. Our Pharmacy Department provides comprehensive and progressive pharmaceutical care services to patients at AZGH Laveen Hospital, AZGH Mesa Hospital, and at all 12 Free Standing Emergency centers throughout the Phoenix metropolitan. Pharmaceutical care services offered by our department include: daily clinical services, daily patient counseling, oral/topical and IV medication dispensing, sterile and non-sterile product preparations, ongoing pharmaceutical education to nursing and clinical staff to promote optimal and effective medication therapy.
Under general supervision, the Pharmacist is responsible for the delivery and documentation of pharmaceutical care provided to patients using the medication use process (selecting, prescribing, dispensing, administration and monitoring of medications).
