Overview:
This is a 1 FTE Clinical Pharmacy Manager position with accountability for the Hematology/Oncology/Transplant Team. This position is primarily located at UMMC on the East Bank.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
The Clinical Pharmacy Manager has accountibility for leading a high-functioning pharmacy team and supervising daily pharmacy services within the designated clinical area (Hematology/Oncology/BMT/Solid Organ Transplant). This includes, but is not limited to, regulatory compliance, clinical services, drug information, drug distribution, medication safety, process improvement, financial and formulary initiatives, protocol or order set development, medication use evaluations, human resource management, and education/development of staff, students or residents. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will develop and maintain intra and interdepartmental relationships in order to achieve these goals. Clinical Pharmacy Managers may also support the department goals and performance through a set amount of online staffing on the East Bank (0-10%).
Qualifications:
Required:
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
MN Pharmacy License (or eligible)
Completion of a PGY1 residency or equivalent hospital clinical practice experience
Preferred:
Prior experience in a pharmacy leadership position/demonstrated leadership skills
Completion of a PGY2 residency (Oncology/Transplant/Leadership)
BPS Certification
