USF is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a full-time, Assistant Professor position in the Department of Pharmacotherapeutics and Clinical Research, Taneja College of Pharmacy.

Department of Pharmacotherapeutics and Clinical Research (PCR):
PCR is one of the two departments in Taneja College of Pharmacy. PCR consists of 31 faculty and is responsible to teach courses to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) students. The Department of Pharmacotherapeutics and Clinical Research is supervised by the Chair who works as primary contact for the faculty and staff in this department.
The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Research has its mission to shape competent clinicians to foster the evolution of the profession thru building healthy sustainable communities one patient at a time. It envisions producing practitioners who are proponents for the stimulation of change and the evolution of the profession. The departmental research goals are:
- Facilitate learning that produces creative, critical and independent thinking.
- Engage in interdisciplinary and translational research that leads to improvements in the delivery of healthcare services.
- Train pharmacists to incorporate pharmacogenomics and pharmacodynamics principles into healthcare.
- Promote excellence in teaching by educating students through utilization of emerging technologies and innovative instructive strategies.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. The desired credentials of applicants include a clinical doctoral degree in pharmacy (Pharm. D.) with post-doctoral specialization (residency and/or fellowship) in Ambulatory Care.
Prior teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy program and BPS Board Certification are encouraged to apply; Clinical faculty that possess joint degrees (PhD, MPH, MHA, JD, Etc) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates with post graduate training and research interest in Ambulatory Care Pharmacotherapy are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with a passion for practice and education and have a collegial approach to their work are encouraged to apply. USF Health has an emphasis on interprofessional/interdisciplinary education and research and candidates with passion for such activities will be considered for this position.
The candidate will be joining a department with existing clinical and research collaborations among faculty within USF Health, VA Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Research Center, and other healthcare institutions in the Tampa Bay area. The department has a strategic plan to start post-doctoral training programs and practice initiatives for pharmacy students and practitioners.
