The College of Pharmacy at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science invites applications for a pharmacy practice faculty position (non-tenure track) at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.  The faculty member will have a practice focus in Cardiology or Hematology/Oncology/ Stem Cell Transplant (SCT).  The position will be filled with the best candidate. Successful candidates should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be licensed or eligible for state licensure.  Candidates should have successfully completed post-graduate residency programs in pharmacy practice (PGY-1) and cardiology or hematology/oncology (PGY-2; or have equivalent or strong experience in the specialty). Strong consideration will be given to candidates who are Board Certified. Teaching experience should be consistent with assistant or associate professor rank.  Candidates with research experience, a strong interest in interprofessional education, and a commitment to scholarly activity are also highly desirable.

Candidates will join a progressive clinical practice at Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) in downtown Chicago.  In Cardiology, the specialist will have a practice focus in heart failure, with opportunities to support both the inpatient service and outpatient clinic.  As part of the Hematology/Oncology team, the Clinical Specialist will have opportunities to see patients on the different services, including inpatient adult hematology/oncology, inpatient stem cell transplant therapy and outpatient stem cell transplant clinic.

Additionally, pharmacists in either area will attend and participate in inpatient rounding with a multidisciplinary team, attends and participates in interdisciplinary weekly service meeting while also precepting pharmacy students and residents. Other teaching responsibilities include providing innovative, classroom education to pharmacy students and other health care professional students in an interprofessionally-based curriculum.  Candidates will also be expected to participate in research/scholarly activities and service to the College and profession.
