Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Swedish Centralized Services at Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, WA. The Central Refill Pharmacist is a clinical position that assists in all aspects of processing prescription refill requests. The pharmacist will function in accordance with all state and federal rules, regulations, statutes and laws. Using established guidelines and/or protocols, the pharmacist facilitates authorization of medication refills for clinic patients. In this position you will: * Receives refill requests via electronic secure messaging, fax or phone. Authorizes prescription refills according to SMG Refill Guidelines and/or Protocol using the Electronic Health Record or fax. * Communicates verbally with patient or patient representative all pertinent medication refill information in a manner that is appropriate for age and level of understanding. * Researches medication-related patient health information, and processes and triages requests in a timely manner. * Works collaboratively with physicians, pharmacists, pharmacies, SMG staff and insurance companies. * Responds to changes in workload schedule and re-prioritizes as necessary; continually uses time in a productive manner to meet workload demands. * Reports to the Supervisor/Manager any suggestions for positive changes or recommendations within the scope of the department function, and in view of existing policies and procedures. Contributes to program implementation and standardization as needed. Works with department Supervisor and Manager to promote team unity and a harmonious work place. Participates constructively in department meetings. Required qualifications for this position include: * PharmD Graduate from an accredited college of pharmacy * Bachelor level training will be considered as meeting requirements for pharmacist candidates that have a minimum of 3 years clinical pharmacy practice experience at hiring mangers discretion * Active Washington state pharmacist license in good standing Preferred qualifications for this position include: * Post graduate residency About Swedish Medical Group Swedish Medical Group (SMG) is a successful, performance-driven division of Swedish Health Services, the largest non-profit health provider in the Greater Seattle area.
