Provides leadership and oversight of all clinical pharmacy programs. Develops, oversees and manages a comprehensive clinical pharmacy services program that incorporates best practices; optimizes the pharmacotherapy and safety of patients; and is compliant with legal, regulatory and JCAHO accreditation standards. Provides a progressive patient care practice in area of specialty. Actively promotes, facilitates and participates in educational and scholarly activities. Provides leadership and actively participate in institutional medication-related activities. Participates in planning, organizing, improvement and resource management initiatives. Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Completion of an accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency and a minimum of 2 years applicable pharmacy experience; or completion of an accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency and a minimum of 4 years applicable pharmacy leadership experience; or a minimum of 6 years applicable pharmacy leadership experience. Applicable experience includes providing, developing, implementing and overseeing progressive clinical pharmacy services in an integrated healthcare system. Strong commitment and evidence of achieving excellence. Proven history of successfully working in a team environment. Communicates effectively. Proven history of a commitment to patient care and alignment with Mayo Clinic values. Board Certified by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties in a clinical specialty (required within two years). Requirements must be met by employment start date. The following are preferred: Proven history of establishing and managing a large, progressive clinical pharmacy program. Formal training or experience in quality improvement, financial analysis, patient safety, JCAHO accreditation standards, and expense management. License to practice Pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.
