Western University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a faculty position in Pharmacy Practice. We seek an outstanding individual who is committed to academic excellence, will participate in an innovative educational curriculum, establish a clinical pharmacy practice for experiential training and patient care, perform scholarly activities based on clinical and/or educational endeavors, and serve on College/University/Professional committees.
The position is for an Assistant/Associate Professor level faculty (tenure or non-tenure track) of pharmacy practice in the area of internal medicine/acute care (any specialty area).
Applicants should have a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy; postgraduate training and clinical experience in internal medicine/acute care (any specialty area) with some didactic and experiential teaching is preferred. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in California and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, clinical skills and teaching skills.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should submit a letter of intent describing teaching and research activities/goals, curriculum vitae and three letters of reference. The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration in the College of Pharmacy is made up of 28 full time faculty members.
