Clinical Pharmacists

Frederick Health seeks additional Clinical Pharmacists to support a variety of areas across the health system; both acute care and ambulatory positions are available, including:

Clinical Pharmacist Specialist – Psychiatry and Pharmacogenomics

Clinical Pharmacist – Ambulatory Care/Endocrinology

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
• Eligible for pharmacy licensure in the state of Maryland
• Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Psychiatry
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY2 Psychiatry Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience (PGY1 plus 3 additional years of experience in psychiatry practice; or 5 years of experience in health system pharmacy + 3 years of experience in psychiatry practice.
• Clinical Pharmacist – Ambulatory Care/Endocrinology
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Ambulatory Care; or equivalent experience (PGY1 plus 3 additional years of experience in Ambulatory Care; or 5 years of experience in health system pharmacy with 3 years of experience in Ambulatory Care)

Preferred:

• AmbCare/Endocrinology
  • Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP), Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), Geriatrics (BCGP) or eligibility to test as applicable
  • Certification in sub-specialty area (e.g., BC-ADM, CDCES, TTS, CHC, CLS) as applicable
  • Teaching certificate or Faculty Development Fellowship training
• Psychiatry
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry Practice (BCPP) or eligibility to test.
  • Certifications in pharmacogenomics from reputable source (ASHP, ACCP, NACDs, etc)
  • Practice experience with pharmacogenomics

Frederick Health Hospital’s Emergency Department provides 24-hour services for the residents of Frederick and surrounding counties. Although caring for more than 65,000 adult and pediatric patients a year, it is not a designated trauma center.
