The pharmacist will also provide services that maximize the hospital’s ability to meet national indicators. Other responsibilities include: providing educational in-services, developing policies and/or processes to improve departmental operations and participation in at least one departmental or hospital committee, serve as student and/or resident preceptor. Breakdown of job responsibilities include: direct patient care (60%), order verification/distribution (20%), education (15%), and administration (5%). Other requirements include: BLS and ACLS certification and publications.

Applicants must have graduated from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy, have completed a PGY1 residency or equivalent with critical care experience, and be eligible for North Carolina licensure.  A PGY2 residency in Critical Care is preferred and Board Certification is encouraged.
