Pharmacology Faculty


The Division of Biomedical Sciences at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) – Carolinas Campus, in Spartanburg, SC, invites applications for a tenure-track position of Pharmacology Faculty. The appointment is for a candidate at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Responsibilities include organizing and administrating the pharmacology curriculum, classroom teaching for medical students, maintaining a strong extramurally-funded research program and mentoring dual-degree medical students. 

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in pharmacology or a related field, a PharmD, or a D.O. degree plus related pharmacology experience. Candidates must also have solid teaching credentials, an established research program of national reputation, a distinguished record of publication and a successful track record of extramural funding. In particular, the candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills to lead the faculty and staff in the pharmacology department in a positive and productive manner as the candidate is responsible for the productivity of the department.
