The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is a member of the Pharmacy leadership team. Plans, organizes, directs and operates the department according to The University of Vermont Medical Center goals, policies and practices. Participates in the development and execution of the department's strategic and operational plan.

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager provides leadership and direction for all clinical pharmacy practice and ensures that the medication needs of inpatients and outpatients are accurately met and maintains all necessary records. Develops systems of care, solves problems and facilitates processes required to meet customer needs and achieve division objectives within budgetary targets. Coordinates the department's staff training and development activities. Additional responsibilities include performance management of assigned staff, quality measurement and process improvement, practice standards within area of expertise and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy required. 
• Completion of a PGY1 ASHP accredited residency is required.  
• Completion of a PGY2 ASHP accredited residency is preferred.
• Board Certification with the Board of Pharmacy Specialties is required.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the State of Vermont is required.
• Five years clinical pharmacist experience in an academic health center environment with demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical care and drug distribution/control systems. 
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate work teams to achieve specific results.
